We hope you are fine and want to share some news on upcoming events and newly established awards with you.
Global Sourcing Workshop 2022
The 15th GSW will take place on December 10th, 2022, at The IT University of Copenhagen (ITU), Copenhagen, Denmark. This location and date make it easy for colleagues attending ICIS 2022 to also attend the 2022 GSW. The GSW is an excellent opportunity for sharing and discussing sourcing-related research with experts in the field. Please note that the deadline for paper submissions is approaching quickly: September 30th. Find details in the call for papers.
SIG Sourcing Annual Meeting 2022
The annual meeting of the SIG Sourcing will take place as an adjunct event to ICIS 2022 at ITU Copenhagen. The exact date and time will be published on the SIG Sourcing website and via this newsletter.
Three New SIG Sourcing Awards
Three new awards for outstanding achievements in the area of IS sourcing have recently been established:
- AIS SIG Sourcing Outstanding Leadership Award. The Outsourcing Leadership Award recognizes an individual for his/her contributions to the academic and practice of IS Sourcing.
- AIS SIG Sourcing Early and Mid Career Award. The Early and Mid Career Award recognizes individuals for excellent contributions to IS Sourcing research.
- AIS SIG Sourcing Best Paper Award. The Best Paper Award recognizes recently published research on an IS sourcing topic that has the potential to have a significant impact on theory and practice.
Nominations for the Best Paper Award and the Early & Mid Career Award are open and can be made before November 1st via the website of the SIG Sourcing. Find details on the different awards and a nomination form on the SIG Sourcing webpages.
