Newsletter Sept 2023

Dear Members of SIG Advances in Sourcing,

We hope you are fine. We want to share some news on past and upcoming events, awards, and publications with you.

SIG Sourcing at Conferences: Upcoming Conferences

The SIG Sourcing continues to have a strong presence at the major IS conferences with tracks chaired by SIG members and SIG members acting in leading editorial roles. Please find below tracks you might consider for submitting your papers and/or attending at upcoming conferences.

PACIS 2024 - SIGSOURCING: IS Sourcing in the Digital Age

ECIS 2024 - Track "IS Strategy, Governance and Sourcing in the Digital Age"

ICIS 2023 - Track "IS Design, Development, and Project Management"

SIG Sourcing at Conferences: Past Conferences

SIG members also chaired successful tracks at AMCIS and ECIS this year. Both tracks attracted a significant number of submissions and attention during the conferences. For example, ECIS 2023 featured a track on IS Strategy, Governance and Sourcing in the Digital Age (track chairs: Thomas Huber, Oliver Krancher, Ilan Oshri). The track attracted strong interest with 46 submissions. The participants in Kristiansand, Norway, enjoyed lively discussions sparked by the 14 accepted papers on issues such as innovation in sourcing, platform strategies, and algorithmic control. Likewise, a track chaired by Dorit Nevor, Julia Kotlarsky, and Rajiv Sabherwal at AMCIS 2023 contributed to the conference discussions in Panama City by featuring papers on platforms, crowds, and services for sourcing in the digital age.

AMCIS 2023 - Track “Sourcing in the Digital Age: platforms, crowd and services”

ECIS 2023 - Track "IS Strategy, Governance and Sourcing in the Digital Age"
