SIG Elections 2026:
In December 2025, the Nomination and Election Committee, comprised of Jacqueline Corbett (chair), Sarah Honigsberg, and Rosetta Romano, called for nominations for the positions of President-elect, Treasurer, and Secretary. The nomination period closed on January 16, 2026. Based on the nominations, two positions have been filled by acclaimation:
President-elect: Roxana Ologeanu-Taddei, University of Montpellier
- Roxana will assume her appointment on April 1, 2026 until May 30, 2027, when she will move into the role of President. To learn more about Roxana, please consult her statement of interest and CV.
Secretary: Daniel Rush, Boise State University
- Dan will assume the secretary duties from Kenan Degirmenci on June 1, 2026. Please read his personal statement and CV to learn more about Dan.
Two nominations were received for the position of Treasurer: Jiyong Park, University of Georgia and Shahrzad Roohy Gohar, University of Queensland. A mandatory 30-day notice period is being griven from 5 February to 7 March 2026, and online elections will run from 8-27 March. All registered members are eligible and encouraged to vote!
