The Special Interest Group on Digital Innovation, Transformation, and Entrepreneurship (SIG DITE) was established in 2019. Its mission is to provide a forum for, and inspire, the community of scholars that explores and theorizes emerging phenomena related to the design, use, and management of digital information and communication technologies for purposes of innovation, transformation, and entrepreneurship, across all levels of analysis, from individual to organizational and societal, and across all research paradigms and traditions. Our growing membership facilitates and promotes networking and exchange of ideas amongst scholars interested in digital innovation, transformation and entrepreneurship, with the goal to move individual and collective research agendas forward.
The SIG DITE's vision is to become a strong, supportive and engaged community in IS scholarship through a differentiation strategy that builds upon three strategic pillars: education, empowerment, and engagement.
- By joining the SIG, members will be educated through initiatives that continuously nurture and develop our community through global, regular and inclusive programs of scholarly education. These include global PhD training programs and paper development workshops.
- SIG DITE members will be empowered through initiatives that continuously enable our community to learn from and develop the latest scholarship. These initiatives include regular digital seminar series and online repositories and channels.
- SIG DITE members will be engaged through initiatives that continuously inform, communicate, and discuss with members about our community to understand their achievements, needs and desires. These initiatives include a forum, regular newsletters, plus formal and informal networking events.
SIG DITE is represented at main IS (e.g., ICIS, AMCIS, PACIS) and management conferences (e.g., AOM) through workshops, satellite events, tracks, or networking events.
