Strategic Goals

MENA - AIS is a chapter of the AIS. It is the premier academic association for individuals and organizations who lead the research, teaching, practice, and study of information systems, e-business, e-commerce, and e-Marketing  in the MENA region.


The MENA-AIS serves three strategic goals:
1. Lead and promote excellence in information systems education in the MENA region.

2. Lead and promote excellence in information systems scholarship in the MENA region.
3. Cultivate a community by providing services and products to meet the diverse needs of members and related communities.


The MENA - AIS is part of the region 2 of the AIS that groups Europe, Middle East, and Africa.


Indeed, the AIS has members from over 90 countries, and is comprised of 3 different regions:
Region 1, the Americas;
Region 2, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa;
Region 3, Asia and the Pacific.

The first meeting of the MENA-Association for Information Systems was held on Friday, March 17, 2015 during the ICTO2017 conference at the Paris Nanterre university. The meeting was held at the kind invitation of the Prof Marco De Marco.
