Welcome to CHAIS - the Swiss Chapter of the Association of Information Systems!

CHAIS purpose is to promote the exchange of ideas, experiences, and knowledge among scholars in Switzerland engaged in the development, management, and use of information systems and technology.

CHAIS was founded in 2013 and is tightly integrated with other IS research‐related associations in the country, such as IFIP TC8 Switzerland, the Swiss Informatics Research Association (SIRA) and the Swiss Informatics Society (SI).

Main activities include:

- Exchange of information about guest professors visiting Switzerland

- Connecting to national research funding bodies as a representation of the Swiss IS research community

- Informal events to connect the Swiss community of IS researchers

CHAIS organises the following activities in 2026:

- 13th CHAIS Doctoral Consortium (organised by Ferdinand Thies & Jan-Marco Leimeisters)

- CHAIS get-together at ICIS 2026 (Dinner)

- CHAIS Talks & Seminars - a hybrid seminar series that are announced on our mailing list

-Paper Development Workshop with Te'Eni Dov and Jens Dibbern
