Welcome to SIG-ODIS - the Special Interest Group of the Association for Information Systems (AIS) dedicated to “Artificial Intelligence and Semantic-driven Information Systems”

The mission of SIG-ODIS is to
Provide a forum for collaboration and explore the challenges, opportunities, and solutions in information systems using Semantic Technologies within Artificial Intelligence and data-driven IS. Semantic technologies include computational ontologies and knowledge graphs. it. An increasing number of artificial intelligence-based systems are being developed in different application domains employing a variety of tools and technologies. This SIG aims to increase cross-fertilisation of ideas from these areas, share lessons learned, and stimulate further research.
Towards this end, SIG-ODIS will:
- Strive to build bridges between the IS discipline and other information-related disciplines, including computer science, information science, philosophy, linguistics, etc., that pursue research in the broad area of semantic technologies, computational ontologies and intelligent information systems;
- Aim to develop awareness and foster research about the role and impacts of semantic technologies and computational ontologies on the design, development, and management of intelligent information systems;
- Aim to advance scientific research in specific application areas that can benefit from intelligent systems such as integrative business systems, supply chains, semantic webs, bioinformatics database integration and medical information
