SIG eBiz

The SIG eBiz group promotes and exchange ideas on e-business research and applications and seeks to collaborate on building and validating e-business theory and practice.

There is perhaps no application of technology in recent years that is more visible than that of E-Business. Areas such as customer relationship management, supply chain management, electronic procurement, internet marketing, electronic marketplaces, and cooperation across corporate boundaries have seen significant developments in recent years, in business practice as well as in the academic community. Emerging technology and systems, innovative process models, algorithms, and methodologies, as well as creative implementations of early adopters have created a rich field for research and practical applications.

The AIS Special Interest Group on E-Business (SIGeBiz) will tap into this rich resource base and bring together a network of IS researchers, educators and the industry.

The purpose of SIG eBiz is to:

  • To support and promote research, teaching, and outreach activities in e-business areas.
  • To develop the e-business community within AIS.
  • To help identify opportunities for further advancement in areas related to e-business and digital transformation.
