Dear members of the SIG DSPE,

This year's annual meeting has taken place and we are glad to share details on the awards. Moreover, if you are going to ICIS in Nashville we would be happy to meet you there - you should sign up for the get-together.

SIG DSPE Awards 2025

We are pleased to share the award announcements from this year’s Annual Meeting of the AIS Special Interest Group on Digital Sourcing, Platforms, and Ecosystems (SIG DSPE). The awards recognize outstanding scholarly contributions and exceptional leadership in our community.

We congratulate Leslie Willcocks, Emeritus Professor of Work, Technology and Globalisation, and Mary Lacity, David D. Glass Chair and Distinguished Professor at the University of Arkansas, for receiving the Outstanding Leadership Award. Their sustained intellectual leadership has shaped our field in profound ways.

We also congratulate the winners of this year’s SIG DSPE Best Paper Awards.

The Best Paper Award goes to:

We also congratulate Maximilian Schreieck, Associate Professor of Digital Services and Platforms at the University of Innsbruck, for receiving the Early and Mid Career Award. His work has advanced research on digital platforms and ecosystems and contributed meaningfully to our scholarly community.

We thank all contributors and participants for an engaging Annual Meeting and look forward to another productive year of research and collaboration within the SIG DSPE community. We will soon send out further news.


ICIS 2025: Final reminder to sign up for a get-together Sunday, 8.30pm

All SIG DSPE members traveling to Nashville for ICIS are invited to an informal community get-together after the ICIS welcome reception on Sunday, December 14.
We will meet at 8:30 pm till about 10:00 pm at a restaurant close to the ICIS venue: Friends In Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk, 411 Broadway Nashville. If you have not yet done so, quickly do it here:
