The AISD chapter held its Annual General Meeting on February 24th, 2025. In the meeting, the Executive Board officers were reelected for the 2025/2026 term: President: Prof. Dr. Helmut Krcmar , Technische Universität München Director-At-Large: Prof. Dr. Claudia Loebbecke , Universität zu Köln Secretary: Prof. Dr. Tim Weitzel , Universität Bamberg Treasurer: Prof. Dr. Tilo Böhmann , Universität Hamburg Additionally, three AISD members have been randomly selected to serve on the jury for the AISD First Awards, 2025 which will be announced in April and awarded during ICIS 2025 in Nashville, Texas.

The AIS Chapter Germany (AISD) hosted in-person receptions at AMCIS 2023, Panama City, and ICIS 2023, Hyderabad. More than 40 participants met at AMCIS and discussed career paths in the US compared to Europe with Prof. Michelle Carter. At ICIS, coaching sessions with senior chapter members were raffled off among Ph.D. students to provide the most junior members of the Chapter an opportunity to get career insights from experienced scholars.
On June 14, the AIS Chapter Germany (AISD) hosted its Chapter Reception at the European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS) in Kristiansand, Norway. Impressions from AMCIS 2022, Minneapolis, and ICIS 2022, Copenhagen The AIS Chapter Germany (AISD) hosted in-person receptions at AMCIS 2022, Minneapolis, and ICIS 2022, Copenhagen. More than 40 participants met at AMCIS and more than 150 participants attended the reception in the atmospheric Bella Center in Copenhagen. In both chapter receptions, coaching sessions with senior chapter members were raffled off among Ph.D. students who attend the events. Both the senior scholars and the Ph.D. students reported that they enjoyed the coaching sessions. The Chapter will therefore organize similar formats in the future.

On December 13, 2021, we organized the Chapter’s first in-person reception at ICIS 2021 in Austin, Texas. More than 80 participants joined us to network, discuss research, and enjoy an evening together. Thanks to Tilo Böhmann for hosting the reception!
