AIS SCLC 2025 Info Session and Competition Preview
The 2025 AIS SCLC Info Session is a great opportunity to hear from the University of Alabama planning team as they share important details about the event’s location, accommodations, timeline, and competitions, and answer any questions attendees may have.

Additionally, attendees will hear directly from our competition sponsors as they present their challenge prompts!

Global Roundtable with Industry Experts

Join us for the Global Roundtable, where industry leaders will share their insights on key industry trends and dive into specialized topics within their areas of expertise. One of our featured speakers, Chia-Mu Yu, specializes in critical issues in AI safety, security, robustness, computer and network security, as well as data privacy and anonymization. Our second speaker, Letizia Jaccheri, specializes in software engineering for societal impact, focusing on promoting inclusion. This session will be moderated by Yan Chen, who specializes in information security, online fraud, security management, and social media.

Best Practices for Student Success, facilitated by the AIS Student Chapter Advisory Board 
Join leaders from award-winning AIS Student Chapters as they share their experiences and insights from their leadership journeys, including those from the Outstanding Membership Activities and Student Chapter of the Year award winners. Gain inspiration from the New Chapter of the Year, whose innovative approaches helped them quickly excel and learn from the Outstanding Communications recipients who enhanced engagement through exceptional strategies. Plus, hear from leaders of Distinguished and Outstanding Student Chapter award winners as they discuss key lessons learned and practical ideas to help propel your own chapter forward. This is a unique opportunity to connect with and learn from some of the most successful chapters in the AIS network!

The session will be moderated by Bailey Liddle of the University of Alabama and will include:

Software Innovation Challenge Showcase and Student Choice Award Voting 

Finalists from the AIS Software Innovation Challenge will be presenting an abridged version of their submission to attendees to showcase their innovative solutions. After all teams have presented, attendees can vote online for their favorite submission to award the Student Choice Award

2024 IS Job Index Launch and Award Ceremony

Join us as we wrap up this year’s online conference as we unveil key insights from the 2024 IS l Job Index Report, shedding light on current trends and opportunities in the industry. We will also celebrate excellence by announcing the winners of the AIS Software Innovation Challenge and Student Choice Award, recognizing outstanding achievements and innovation.
