One area in which MIS might contribute is developing Management Information Systems for overseeing responses to the pandemic. Data from testing, etc needs to be collected, analyzed, and displayed for both decision making and public information. Among other uses the data can be introduced to an Epidemic Equation that monitors progress etc. With what I know about our local hospital and public health organization they have struggled to get a reliable MIS and Dashboard in place. (And we are a small Colorado County). They also need some system for contact traceing. It occurs to me that a great deal about designing, implementing and using an MIS can be learned by examining this application. ------------------------------
